Welcome!

We are excited that you are interested in our church and hope that this is the first step to a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ! We hope that you find the information on this website helpful in answering some of your initial questions, but we ultimately hope you come visit Bethel Baptist!

We know what it's like to visit for the first time.  It isn't easy.  Anxiety. Uncertainty.  Not knowing what to expect.  All of us attending Bethel have stood in your shoes.  Read through the FAQs. Contact us and ask questions.  Check out what's happening on the website and our social media pages. We want to do our part to make sure that your first step into our church is a good one.

What our worship gatherings are like

First, expect a warm and friendly greeting — a handshake or a hug, and a friendly face to answer any questions you have. Our team will help you find the nursery, kids' area, or bathrooms.

Second, you’ll hear live music from a worship team and instrumentalists that leads us in worship of God. Our music is a blended mix of new and old, and features a variety of instrumentation from guitars and box drum to organ and piano.

And finally, you can expect a solid Bible based message that challenges your mind and heart with God’s truth. It’s important that we not only learn what’s in the Bible, but also why it’s in there and what to do with it. The Bible is all about Jesus and the freedom and life transformation He offers us through salvation from our sins. You’ll never hear a message that doesn’t point back to Jesus and challenge you to be more like Him.

What to wear

Dress in a way that you feel comfortable and that allows you to connect with God. Some wear jeans and a t-shirt while others may wear a sport coat and a tie. It’s up to you! Your attire doesn’t determine your holiness.

Where we meet

Our church meets in Norton Shores at 1066 E. Byron Road.  Main entrances are on the north and south (front and back) of the church.  There are stairs at each entrance up to the main floor and sanctuary. An elevator entrance is located on the east side of the church.

What to do with your kids

At Bethel, ministry to the whole family is a vital part of our mission. We have children's programming available for infants to elementary that teaches them about God and the Bible in a way that’s relevant to them during the Sunday School hour.  Youth, grades 6-12, meet together to study God's word in the youth room.  We also have a nursery available for babies and toddlers.
